MIKE & HIS TEAM WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME YOU TO CHIMNEYS HOTEL
The Chimneys Hotel built in 1925, previously known as The Trust and was mostly used by miners who worked at Blackhall Colliery.
Renamed to Chimneys because it has so many chimneys, underwent a revamp to bring the interior and exterior up to date in 2008.
Mike originally from Hampshire brought his professional team with him to Chimneys in August 2009.
A well known chef in the North East of England, Mike decided it was time to 'step up' and take on the hotel along with
a function room, restaurant and lounge bar.
Mike has over 15 years experience within the trade and has worked both for and along side some of the most experienced
chefs and hoteliers both in the North and the South of the country.
Now completely refurbished the hotel is very comfortable and a warm welcome awaits all.
From Monday through to Saturday, you can dine in either the Phoenix Restaurant or Ember Bar Lounge.
The Chimneys has a car park to the rear with CCTV.
New Beer Garden was completed September 2009.
In the Ember Bar Lounge a snack menu will be available from noon until 9pm and 2 meals for £10 Tues to Sat 12-6pm.
An excellent A'la carte menu is available Monday 6-9pm and Tues to Sat between 12 and 9pm with daily specials.
All main courses come with hand cut chips and a selection of fresh seasonal vegetables.
A Traditional Sunday Carvery is available every Sunday from noon till 4pm
and we also do a 3 course meal on a sunday for £10.
In addition to this there is a children’s menu, offering a variety of meals to choose from for only £3.50.
